Are you wrestling with a work problem or decision?
Preparing for a negotiation or difficult conversation?
In a single one-hour session we will talk it through together.
No need to do anything in advance.
By the end, you’ll have clarity and ideas for next steps.
“In my coaching session with Pia, she approached my professional situation with insight, empathy, and skill. With her talent and experience, she untangled years of frustrations and fears to articulate my professional goals and provide me with precise next steps and resources. I’m so thankful for her nuanced guidance, and I wish that every one of my colleagues could have a coaching session with Pia.” — Rebecca Joy
Some topics we could talk about…
“I’m about to get a job offer. How do I negotiate — and is there anything beyond salary I should think about?”
“Something happened at work that bothered me. Should I speak up?”
“I have an opportunity to go in a different career direction. Should I take it?”
“I’m an artist struggling with balancing my paid and creative work. I have some ideas — but how do I decide?”
Here’s how it works:
- Book your appointment by choosing a time slot.
- I’ll send you a confirmation email with a Google Meet link (or we can do a phone call, your choice) and a payment link. It’s $100 for a session, sliding scale available.
- During our session, I’ll start off by inviting you to describe what’s going on. Then I’ll ask questions aimed at helping both of us understand what matters most to you in this situation. Finally, we’ll strategize together about what comes next.
In my six years of coaching, I’ve helped people through all kinds of work problems — should I take the job? I just learned my junior coworker earns more than me, what do I do? My boss is driving me crazy, what are my options? And what I consistently hear from my clients is: What a relief to talk this through. This was keeping me up at night but now I feel like I know how to move forward. Without you, I never would have asked for what I really wanted.
My approach is rooted in my training as a mediator, dialogue facilitator, and lawyer, spanning several decades. It’s influenced by principles of nonviolent communication and trauma-informed care. And it reflects my lived experience as a brown-skinned woman who has encountered some not-so-friendly places during my career in computer science and law, and relied on supportive friends and trusted advisors to help me along.
